One of the recursive formulas relating mobious function is $$\sum_{m \leq n} \left\lfloor \dfrac {n}{m} \right\rfloor \mu (m) = 1.$$ But inorder to find the $\mu(n)$ we need to know the mobious values for $m < n $.
